Payton and Adrean Branson share more than just an average bond of brotherhood, they come together with something that has been running in their family for as long as they can remember – music.
PayCheezy (Payton) and Big Moose (Adrean) have been immersed in music ever since they were kids. Influenced by their father, locally known artist Mark Branson Singer, the two brothers were inspired with a desire to pursue their dream of making a career with their music. Going by the group name Dubble, these eclectic brothers launched themselves into the music scene by being persistent, professional, and progressive. They enlisted the help of their family to keep them grounded and moving forward. Today their father works as their producer, creating multi-dimensional beats, blending old school and new school. And with their mother as their manager, PayCheezy and Big Moose began booking shows and performing around Indianapolis.
Audiences are drawn to Dubble because they bring a unique sound to the local and regional music scene, sort of South-meets-Midwest. Their versatile sound defies convention, bringing a soulful, futuristic vibe that moves audiences to groove, to dance and to listen closely. With the storytelling abilities reminiscent of Oukast, Moose explains “Our lyrics are very innovative.” PayCheezy adds “It’s about good times, different life situations, we want to tell a story.”
Dubble recently signed a recording agreement with Simple Life Records and is beginning to record and build their brand. The brothers work hard daily to make their music a career, but more than that, their goal is to “Keep it fresh and grateful,” says Big Moose.
