Damani Diallo has been immersed in music for as long as he can remember. It began with piano lessons in kindergarten; from there he progressed to singing in his church choir and performing in school productions as a youth in his hometown of Indianapolis. Damani’s passion for music intensified during his college years at Indiana State University where he met his current label-mate RyanKeif of the group P.B.C. Drawing inspiration from his R&B mentors, such as Boys II Men and Babyface, Damani began crafting his own style, persona and sound of R&B music. Composing his own beats on a keyboard and computer gives Damani the musical flexibility and lyrical control to express his heart & soul in sound. “My music is about love, expressing my feelings, and capturing the emotional levels of life experiences,” Damani says. “My music covers relationships, love, and everyday events of life.”

Wanting to push his talent to the next level, Damani decided to leap towards his dream by signing with Simple Life Records. He has expansive music goals along with the talent and charisma to be a success. “I want to be on the stage winning a Grammy,” Damani says, “I don’t like putting limits on myself. I make a living through music because music is my passion.”

Damani is currently working on his debut album with Simple Life that is slated for release in Spring 2011.
